Breeding facility at the Windsprite Friends (IHR eV) from January 2025.
We live in beautiful Mecklenburg-Western Pomerania, surrounded by nature, far away from the stress and hustle and bustle of our times. Our dogs are family. They live closely with us, all of them are little personalities who have their place deep in our hearts and are allowed to live their dog life to the fullest.
Nevertheless, we have very special demands on our breeding dogs. Our top priority is the health and character of the Windsprite. Our goal is to breed happy, uncomplicated companions in life and to give people a bit of joy and happiness..
Welcome to our small, family-run hobby breeding business. We are me, Anette, my husband Alf and our daughter Nina. Sweden has been our home for more than 20 years. We currently have 4 dogs (2 collies, 1 whippet and a wind sprite) living with us as beloved family dogs who accompany us on all our small and large excursions. No adventure without a dog. We would like to breed happy and healthy dogs so that even more people can enjoy this versatile and enchanting greyhound breed.
Since 2018 I have been living with my Silken Windsprite girl Biloxi in Müllheim in the heart of the Markgräfler Land. In 2022 the second greyhound girl Alicia moved in. This breed has enchanted me and my family! I hope to inspire many more people about this wonderful breed.
The hand of a breeder
The hand of a breeder is the hand that calms the bitch during birth,
and who cuts the umbilical cord if the mother doesn't do it.
The hand of a breeder is the one that weighs the puppy every day to see if it is doing well,
and places him closer to the mother, while the mother looks at the breeder with confidence.
The hand of a breeder is the one that gives milk bottles day and night when the mother does not have enough milk
and who rubs her eyes to combat tiredness.
The hand of a breeder is the hand that plays with the puppies to socialize them in the best possible way,
and who hands the puppy over to the new family in the hope that everything goes well.
The hand of a breeder is the hand that is ready day and night to answer all questions.
Remember, when you shake the hand of a breeder,
what this hand has done with love.
